Legal problems of competence of the bodies carrying out operational and investigative activities in terms of performance of their duties

The article analyzes the normative legal regulation of the competence of the bodies carrying out operational and investigative activities in terms of the implementation of their duties, identifies legal gaps in this area, in this connection, identifies possible problems of law enforcement in practice. Examples of inconsistency of the legislator in construction of the norms relating to operational-search activity are given, and the necessity of their improvement by modification of the Federal law is stated. The possible negative consequences associated with the subjective interpretation of the envisaged duties of the bodies carrying out operational and investigative activities are predicted.
