Legal problems of compulsory insurance of civil liability of motor vehicles foreign experience and ways of improvement in Russia

The article examines the legal issues of compulsory automobile liability insurance (CALI) through the lens of foreign models. The author’s analysis applies a comparative legal approach, supported by an in-depth review of Russian judicial practice. The study aims to identify shortcomings in Russian CALI legislation and propose reform measures based on international standards. The findings confirm the need for a comprehensive modernization of the regulatory framework and an expansion of pre-trial dispute resolution procedures. In conclusion, the authors offer practical recommendations to improve the mechanism of protecting the rights of victims and road users.
