The authors analyze the problems of feasibility and effectiveness of state participation in joint stock companies. The article examines legal regulation and possible forms of state participation in joint stock companies, the ways of implementation state shareholders rights and the problems of exercising the golden share. The authors come to conclusion about the necessity of implementation of modern high standards of corporate governance in companies with state participation, and the nessesity to improve the management of state property.
