Бесплатный доступ

The author analyzes the changes that have taken place over 18 years in the ethnic celebration of the aboriginal New Year holiday - “Hebdenek.” The research reveals two major trends in the process - the concentration of the most attractive cultural elements and their demonstration in front of the dominant community. This dynamics leads to hybridization of demonstrated cultural phenomena and artifacts. The author concludes that hybridization and demonstration (representation) constitute the content of the modem dynamics of many ethnic phenomena in the urbanized space.
