Precedentness in judicial speech

The issues of legal and linguistic precedentness in the judicial speech are viewed in the article on the basis of speeches of famous Russian lawyers-speechmakers of the second half of the XIX century. Special attention is paid to the techniques of incorporating biblical expressions, proverbs and sayings as precedential texts and text reminiscences in the judicial speech.
