The limiting possibilities of the Doppler sounding of the ionosphere

The possibilities of recording short-term and minor ionospheric disturbances when observing the spectra of carrier signals of remote radio stations are considered. It is shown that processes with spatial scales of the order of the wavelength of the observed signal can be detected.
