The limits of extremism and the legal bases of extremism counteraction

The paper considers specific measures of terrorism control in the Russian Federation. The author believes that effective suppression of extremist sentiments requires implementation of a set of measures in three areas: legal, ideological and socio-cultural. It is concluded that there is a need for preventive measures, which would avert emergence of the terrorist organizations, as well as application of methods aimed at the improving of public relations.
