The paper considers a vast group of finds from the fortified settlement of Chertovo Gorodishche in the Upper Oka basin. It includes weaponry (arrowheads, javelins and spearheads) and horse harness details (bits and a strap plate). Arrowheads are divided into two classes - socketed and tanged ones, and subdivided into a number of groups, and numerous types in accordance with A. F. Medvedev's typology. Spearheads are classified in similar way. The collection comprises also quiver details. Chronologically, the finds clearly correspond to two stages of the settlement's functioning: from the second quarter to mid of the 1 st mill., and the late 1 st mill. AD. Accumulations of finds and cross-section of the north-eastern rampart evidence that the site was destroyed in the first part of the 10 th c.
