The aim of the work was to study the influence of the magnetic field on the sowing qualities of sunflower seeds. As a result of the studies, it was found that pre-sowing treatment of sunflower seeds in a magnetic field improves its sowing qualities, biometric parameters of plants, which can be explained by an increase in the rate of chemical reactions in seeds, solubility of salts and acids, permeability of cell membranes, increased transport of ions and oxygen into the cell. and water. The main factors influencing the process of sunflower seeds treatment in a magnetic field are magnetic induction, its gradient and the velocity of seed movement.The effectiveness of seed treatment depends on the square of the magnetic induction, which is the most significant factor. On the basis of the obtained analytical dependencies and experimentally, the operating parameters of seed treatment and their optimal values were determined: magnetic induction 0.065 T with four-fold re-magnetization, magnetic field gradient 0.57 T/m and seed movement velocity 0.4 m/s. With this treatment of sunflower seeds in a magnetic field, the germination energy increased by 28 %, and the germination -by 24 %.
