Background and limitations of international competitive position of Russia

The article deals with factors of international competitiveness of Russia in the context of global rankings and comparisons of countries. The author considers background and problem areas of Russia’s development according to the international competitiveness conception, and gives recommendations aimed to improve its competitiveness taking into account the current trends.
