Prerequisites for the development of the theory of political system in the western political science

The article deals with the process of establishment of the political systems theory in the western political science. Among the events contributing to development of the system ideas about politics the author studies not only those which occurred in the political science structure, but also those which follow from the general changes in the socio-political reality.
