The article analyzes the economic substance of bankruptcy, describes the prerequisites of a crisis at Russian enterprises, examines the economic aspects of the formation of the institution of bankruptcy in Russia, the emphasis on the new bankruptcy law individuals. Identified predictors of bankruptcy on the basis of the analysis of dynamics of indicators of solvency, liquidity and credit load in the leading sectors of the real economy.
