The article is devoted to the basic problems of the transformation of the tank industry Ural during the conversion period, after the completion of the Great Patriotic War. The paper identified the major trends that characterized the conversion process, a reflection of the major structural and administrative changes affecting its future activities. In addition, it shows the basic contradiction lay in the basic organization of the sector during the Great Patriotic War. When covering the most important indicators of the crisis that accompanied the conversion. Attention is paid to assessing the contribution of tank and the Urals to the development of the nuclear industry here in the second half of the 1940s. The tank industry has become a donor of personnel, technology and production resources, which allowed creating, boosted Urals key enterprises of the nuclear industry. The interaction between civilian and military areas of industrial policy, both conducted by the state on the leading machine-building enterprises of the Urals, which during World War II were part of Sosa NKTP. The work describes the main governance actions tank industry, government attempts to stabilize the situation and to enforce its goals of economic policy.
