Entrepreneurship in rural areas: the role and importance in the sustainable development of rural areas

Тhe article substantiates the need to study the problems and prospects for the development of entrepreneurship in rural areas, which involves studying the current state of the agro-industrial complex of the country, identifying the level and scale of the presence of agricultural business in it, identifying the role and place of business entities in the agricultural space of modern Russia. The authors of the article pay special attention to the subjects of small rural entrepreneurship. In order to identify the social tolerance of the local population to representatives of agro-business, the willingness of villagers to engage in entrepreneurial activity, the level of development of the relevant infrastructure, a study was conducted in rural settlements of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Orenburg and Chelyabinsk regions. The purpose of the study is to analyze the current state, identify problems and determine the prospects for boosting entrepreneurship in rural areas in the context of sustainable rural development. The objectives of the study are to systematize information on the research issues obtained from the results of sociological research; to study changes in the regulatory support of entrepreneurship in rural areas; to identify problems related to the implementation of entrepreneurial activities in rural areas; to develop proposals for the involvement of rural residents in modern agrobusiness processes. The results of the study. The problems are identified and the directions of intensification of entrepreneurial activity in rural areas are outlined in the context of sustainable development of rural areas and taking into account the current state of the economy and society.
