Entrepreneurial risks in agrarian business and their functions

Risk as a category covers all spheres of human activity and society, therefore, research in the field of determining its essence and content began in the period of inception and formation of social relations. The development of risk-management theory was stimulated by scientific and technical progress and the nature of relations between various business entities. A special place in the risk classification is occupied by business risks. At present, there are various approaches to the interpretation of this category in dictionaries, regulatory documents and scientists' works: as a possible danger, as a risk of losses from business activities, as a mathematical expectation of losses, as a probability of deviation from goals, etc. Scientists have identified several groups of entrepreneurial risk, among which the most well-known are the following: innovative, analytical, regulatory, protective; forecasting,organization, regulation, coordination, stimulation, control. Due to the complex nature of entrepreneurial risks in the agricultural business, the process of studying their occurrence and functioning mechanism continues and requires new interpretations. In this regard, we have given the author's interpretation of the category “entrepreneurial risk”.
