Modern youth's understanding of feminism

The article describes the history of the feminist movement, stages of its development, their content and goals. The main issues that are covered by modern feminism are listed. The results of the analysis of the questionnaire data obtained for studying the attitude of modern Russian youth towards feminism, its participants and activities are presented. The respondents’ views and understandings are found to be incomplete and unsystematic. The author believes, that these views are important cause of negative social effects.
