The article is a review of the scientific publishing project “Sources and Monuments of Canonical and Church Law of the Russian Church” carried out by the Society for the Study of Church Law named after T. V. Barsov (Barsov Society) at St. Petersburg Theological Academy for four months. During this time, four events were held, and an editorial board was formed. It is expected that the project will be represented by a body of researches (monographs) reflecting the state of canonical legal sources of the 11th - early 14th centuries, 15th-18th centuries, 19th - early 20th centuries, 1917-1943, 1943-1991, and at the present stage. Due to the complexity of the project, its implementation will take several years, and research results can be published in the form of monographs in a free (not chronological) order, when ready. Quite a large number of journal publications accompanying the work on monographs is also expected.
