The article examines the characteristic features of the presidential elections in 2024, which will be held from March 15 to 17, 2024. Three self-nominated candidates and eight party representatives are registered among the candidates. As of July 1, 2023, the total number of voters in the Russian Federation living in Russia was 107,915,325; 2,004,940 outside the Russian Federation, and 11,653 in Baikonur. The Central Election Commission does not publish data on voters in new Russian regions. The total number of Russians in 2023 without four new regions is 146,424,729 people. Thus, almost three quarters of Russians have the right to vote in elections - almost 74%. The turnout for the presidential elections should be approximately 70% of the total number of voters in the Russian Federation, i.e. approximately 76 million voters. Remote voting (DEG) will be launched in 29 regions. Three parties with their own factions in the State Duma have submitted official candidates for the presidential elections. Five parties that are not represented in the State Duma, as well as three self-nominated candidates have officially registered for the upcoming elections. Among the self-nominated candidates, Vladimir Putin is also the undisputed leader of the future presidential elections. The competition between the other candidates will be for the second place after V.V. Putin.
