Prevention of defects in iron castings using built-in quality principles

Бесплатный доступ

An example of improving the system for monitoring the properties of the molding sand using a moisture sensor in the mass foundry production of cast iron blanks for automotive parts is given. Parameter control, based on the principles of built-in quality, contributes to the stabilization of the physical and mechanical properties of the molding sand, which, in turn, ensures the prevention of defects and an increase in the quality of castings.
