Preventing the spread of ideas of extremism and terrorism on the Internet

The article investigates topical problems of dissemination of terrorism and extremism ideas using the Internet and information-telecommunication technologies.Facts influencing the development of victim behavior are considered in detail: negative influence of interested persons on psyche of young generation, advertising propaganda in mass media, computer games in which young people are interestedly immersed, emerging dependence on the group of reference persons, establishing their moral values. Such an impact on a sensitive person, can lead to the commission of anti-social actions, putting them in the role of the victim. Victimhood is also capable of manifesting itself in the peculiar behavior of an individual who, in turn, deliberately provokes other people prone to aggressive behavior, in other words, to purposely cause rudeness, anger, violence in relation to themselves. The author examines the victimological characteristics of extremism and terrorism on the Internet, the causes and forms of victim behavior in the information space of persons involved in terrorist and extremist activities, justifies the need for a systematic approach in the prevention of terrorism and extremism, creating the necessary legal and educational framework to ensure the interests of national security and the formation of socially significant qualities of personality.
