The preliminary review of suitability of base rock in the northern part of the Tagil zone of the Urals for hi-tech manufacture of a basalt fiber

In a number of high-tech industries is one of leading positions occupied by basaltic technologies to obtain ecologically clean products with unique properties and a wide range of application. In the article was given a preliminary assessment of base rock of the northern part of the Tagil zone of the Urals (the territory of the Khanty-Mansi District) as raw material for production of basalt fibers. Widespread of basalts and gabbros satisfying the requirements of basalt technology is established. It allows organizing on local raw materials the production of a basalt fiber and production from it that may be need for the industrial buildings, building of pipelines, drilling wells for oil and gas in the Western Siberia.
