Prehistory of the state and law of Algerian Amazighs

One of the understudied topics in the Russian historical and legal science is the history of the early kingdoms and their peoples in North Africa. The article briefly describes the origin of the state of Lubien, which in the 2nd century BC was called Numidia, and the people of Amazigh, who lived in this territory and survived to our time in the Maghreb countries: Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia. The author analyzes the historical and legal development of this state, its disintegration and new unification, the reasons for these processes, the social and state structure, the organization of legal proceedings and the beginning of legal life, international relations with neighboring States - Egypt, Phoenicia, Carthage. Attention is drawn to the peculiarity of the ancient writing of Amazigh, which arose earlier Phoenician, and has survived to this day.
