Project work within the terms of suplementary education of the adult learners belongs to one of the opportunities to revive respect and interest to the Russian folk singing with all its incredibly deep content and potential. Author of a current paper describes the process of the project realization from the very beginning. The long-term folk project “Pesnya v radost” is hosted by a rural cultural centre “Medvezhye-Ozerskaya CCS” in the Shelkov municipal region and has two performance groups: a senior folk song ensemble “Zolotye Kupola” (Golden Domes) and a junior folk music group “Radost” (Joy). The project framework allows the participants to meet their spiritual needs through the singing. Current paper lists the project aim and goals and illustrates the first results the year after the project was launched, namely participation in the concerts, cultural and educational programms, festivals and contests etc. In the current work the author also defines the ways to improve group activities, as well as the future development of the project that competed for the the gouvenor's award “Nashe Podmoskovie” (Our Moscow Region).
