The article considers the feasibility of using a flexible methodology for software development. Within the framework of this methodology, a flexible approach to software development is considered. The stages and sub-stages of software product creation are highlighted. The processes and subprocesses of information security are described and the scheme of their implementation in the process of software development for the organization-software developer is developed. To assess the quality of the software product, an indicator of prevented losses is proposed.
