Advantages and disadvantages of major approaches to business assessment for insurance companies

Major approaches applied to an assessment of business value are discussed in this paper. Some assessment methods in the context of the expenditure, comparative and income approaches are analyzed by the author herein, some factors determining the selection of most suitable approach and method of estimation of the insurance business are indicated in the paper.
