Concerning the advanced value-based management approaches’ benefits and drawbacks

The paper presents a critical review of the up-to-date value-based management (VBM) approaches that obviously have advantages and limitations as well. The reviewed approaches were proposed by the top consulting companies and have both: a wide business application and a systematic scientific and practical coverage in the related literature. Based on the critical analysis run, the necessity of the VBM approaches’ modification is emphasized, considering the observed capital markets’ anomalies.
