Precariat as a new social group

In this article the definitions of precariat from the point of view of foreign and domestic sociologists are considered. The article describes the causes of this social group associated with trends in the forms and nature of modern labour. The main features of the precariat as a new social group and features of the precariat as such are considered. In addition, the precariat in modern Russia is characterized on the basis of statistical data. In the conclusion, the article reveals advantages and disadvantages of precariat
