The author analyzes the complex of measures undertaken for overcoming the fuel crisis in Samara region in 1918-1921. He characterizes the main difficulties preventing the successful harvesting of wood fuel: shortage of provision and tools, difficulties in interaction of multiple timber cutting organizations.
