Teaching Russian as a foreign language in the context of intercultural communication

The article is concerned with intercultural communication in teaching Russian as a foreign language. It is proved that the intercultural communication is always interpersonal communication, in which the major part plays cultural environment that influences its participants. The task of the Russian as a foreign language lecturer is to teach foreigners not only the language, but also transfer the world image of the native speaker, so the interlocutor, being a representative of the other culture, would not remain a psychological stranger.
