St. Sergius of Radonezh and the renascence of Russian monasticism in the middle of XIV - early XV century

The article is devoted to the process of the renascence of the Russian monasticism in the mid dle of XIV - early XV century after the prolonged crisis in the spiritual life caused by the Mon gol invasion to Russia and establishment of the Horde yoke. The role of of St. Sergius of Radonezh and cenobitic tradition in this process is shown.
