Crimes of subverse: a new approach to ensuring economic security and defense capability of the Russian Federation at the present stage

The article analyzes the current state of criminal legislation in the field of ensuring the economic security and defense capability of the Russian Federation through the establishment and implementation of responsibility for crimes provided for in Art. 281, 281.1, 281.2 and 283.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. A general assessment of the events and facts that led to the need to reform domestic criminal legislation in this area is given. The need to prevent these crimes using the norms and mechanisms of the criminal legal order, which are the central link in the comprehensive provision of state security, is outlined. Conclusions are drawn about the advisability of establishing responsibility for committing crimes of a sabotage nature at the present stage, and their author’s definition is given.
