Offences committed through the use or application of information and telecommunication technologies: modes of their commission and quantitative characteristics

The article discusses the ways of committing crimes with the use or application of information and telecommunication technologies (hereinafter - ITT). The current classification of methods is given, quantitative and qualitative characteristics are analyzed, indicating the presence of changes in the structure of ways of committing crimes in cyberspace, as well as the emergence of new ways of committing crimes in the field of ITT. The paper focuses on the need to use operational-investigative characteristics of methods of committing crimes with the use or application of ITT in order to ensure an appropriate level of detection and disclosure of these types of crimes by operational units of internal affairs bodies. The author believes that the materials of the article will arouse the interest of the scientific community and practical law enforcement officers.
