Railroad transport crimes in the sector of freight services (case study of the North Caucasian railway data)

This article examines criminal structure and dynamics in the sector of freight services at the North Caucasian Railway during the last few years. Traditionally freight service is a sphere vulnerable to crimes, for which reason the protection of transported goods from criminal trespass is remaining ever more relevant. The research novelty is that it is the first independent criminological case study of the North Caucasian Railway freight industry. The author determines the range of crimes taking place in the industry at present, detects the reasons of their commitment, and proposes crime prevention measures.
