Criminal consequences: he origins of scientific understanding

The article discusses the issues of the problem of determining and characterizing criminal consequences. Based on the analysis of normative legal acts, the semantic meaning inherent in the concept of consequences is determined. The issue related to the definition of a special place in the system of signs of the corpus delicti is considered. The points of view of prominent scientists on this issue are analyzed, as well as variants of the classification of consequences are clearly presented. The genesis of the concept of the consequences of a crime is clearly demonstrated, taking into account the originally laid down different meaning than at this moment. In the course of the study, the position concerning the allocation of socially dangerous consequences in the theory of criminal law as an independent sign of a crime is determined and justified.
