Causal analysis of environmental pollutant factors in Russia's Arctic zone

The relevance of the research topic is related to the implementation of the main provisions of the Strategy for the Russian Arctic Zone Development and National Security for the period up to 2035 (2020) in terms of ensuring environmental safety and improving the state of the environment in conditions of industrial development of the territory. A scientific toolkit for identifying and diagnosing priority pollution problems are proposed, which is based on causal analysis of the factors of negative impact on natural systems and living conditions of the population, ranking of objects that have a negative impact on the environment, economy and population, as well as justification of compensatory investment projects of conservation orientation in the Arctic territories, taking into account their priority. A quantitative assessment of the level of environmental pollutants from current activities and the impact of accumulated environmental damage facilities in the Russian Arctic is given.
