Criminal involvement in drug use and drug trafficking in the context of digitalization development is already an independent problem that has specific causes, conditions, as well as methods and ways of activity, without studying the features of which it is impossible to build a more effective system for preventing the said criminal activity. It has been established that representatives of the drug business are actively conducting an information campaign aimed at exerting external influence on the macro and micro social levels of personality formation, filling them with such content, in conditions of which criminal behavior options are often chosen (external reason). This is also facilitated by the availability of Internet resources for the illegal purchase and sale of drugs in the context of the availability of personal anonymization services, in which falsely convinced and confident in impunity persons are involved in the drug business (external condition). The dominant motivation in this regard is selfish motivation, based on high unemployment, low wages, social inequality between social strata of the population of our country (internal reason). In the process of their participation in drug use and illegal drug trafficking, the person involved gradually develops an addiction that burdens all their further motivation. This is precisely where the interest of drug business representatives manifests itself - in the formation of such an addiction, under the conditions of which the person cannot voluntarily leave them, which significantly facilitates their further use in illegal drug trafficking as a participant (internal conditions).
