The article examines the features of the manifestation of mass non-guilt in correctional labor institutions during the operation of the sad famous GULAG (1930s - the first half of the 1950s). It is noted that the main reasons for such phenomena, expressed in the form of hunger strikes, riots, mass escapes, were violations of the criminal procedural rights of prisoners, the rude attitude of the camp administration, poor living conditions, and after the end of the Great Patriotic War, there was also an increased concentration in the labor camp in an anti-Soviet minded prisoners. Despite the significant scale of mass disobedience in some ITLs in the post-war years, in general they were not typical of the Soviet penal system.
