Reasons and methods of elimination of non-liquid stocks in retail

This article raises questions related to inventory management in retail. In particular, the topic of the formation of illiquid commodity stocks and methods of their elimination are considered. The author defines the concept of "illiquidity", indicates why it is necessary to deal with illiquid goods and how to define them in practice. It is noted what is worth paying attention to when working with illiquid inventories. For the analysis of the assortment, two indicators are proposed: the return on investment in inventory and the critical shelf life.
