Causes and conditions that impede successful development of political network interaction in the Russian Federation

The article analyzes various factors that have an adverse effect on Russians' civic engagement, on emergence of network structures in the society. The author believes that Russian social and political realities demonstrate many difficulties in developing political network activity. In our country, political networks have acquired a certain "Russian specificity", which is due to several reasons. Firstly, the author draws attention to transitional political and legal status of Russia, immaturity and economic unsupported basis of democratic structures. Then the author points to corrupt mafia groups' significant impact on the economy, rather low educational, cultural and legal level of a large part of the population, the growth of social tension associated with the protracted crisis and the increase in the number of poor people.
