The causes and conditions conducive to the spread of terrorist ideology in Russia

The paper deals with the main causes of the dissemination of terrorism ideas in Russia, such as social stratification manifested acutely after the collapse of the Soviet Union, political terrorism (both between countries and within the country), the causes of religious nature (misinterpretation of the Islam principles with a purpose to destroy the Russian Federation). The author describes social, economic and political aspects of counter-terrorism activities, formulates proposals for more effective antiterrorist protection. Some legal methods and security modes of terrorism control are described in detail.
