Causes of the low length of life in Russian regions

The article provides a detailed analysis of the factors determining the population health state in 10 regions with the lowest length of life (below 65 years) in 2008. The information basis of the analysis was the data from the state statistics. Irrespective of the different levels of economic development, the main cause of early deaths of people in these federation subjects was the existence of acute social problems. In these regions with low density of population and severe nature and climate conditions, only radical positive changes in the life of the population will change the present situation.
