The article is dedicated to one of the most important source for history of Burgundian court - the household ordinances issued by Phillip the Good. These documents provide the information concerning the social structure, financial support of staff and period of their employment. The main idea of the article is to underline the process of creation, safety and the potential problems in using this type of source.
