In this scientific article, the author wrote that in the 90s of the 20th century, after the collapse of the USSR, as a result of the separation of the republics living in a single space, becoming sovereign independent states, border problems appeared. Which were caused by the incompleteness of the work on the delimitation and demarcation of borders. These conflicts were accompanied by human casualties, and this shows that it is necessary to work on solving border problems. In this short article, the author has studied the historical roots of border conflicts based on local materials. The existence of three enclaves on the territory of the Batken region: the Sokh and Shaimardan enclaves belong to Uzbekistan, and the Vorukh enclave belongs to Tajikistan. It is noted that this has become a source of constant conflicts between Uzbek and Tajik residents of the enclave and local Kyrgyz residents. On the Osh - Isfana road passing through the Batken region, Kyrgyz people face great difficulties when crossing the border posts belonging to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Batken region is multinational. Thus, it is shown that the issue of land, water and borders has become the main factor causing major conflicts. The author in this article suggests ways to solve it based on the study of border problems.
