Applications of the dimensionality and group theories to mechanics

Analysis of the general theory of physical quantity dimensions in terms of group theoretical methods is presented. The relation between dimensions and extension groups is considered. Examples are given illustrating the use of the dimension theory results, such as the pi-theorem, to establish fundamental mechanical relationships.
