Application of ABC-XYZ analyses in the systematic assessment of product assortment to improve operational efficiency

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of tools and approaches to product assortment management. The paper systematizes ABC-XYZ analysis methods for evaluating product groups consisting of approximately 35-50 SKU items, focusing on their contribution to revenue and turnover. It also analyzes the level of product availability and its dynamics, identifying the most sought-after items that generate more than 80% of revenue and identifying areas for optimizing the product portfolio. The article emphasizes the importance of using analytical tools in a comprehensive manner to create a balanced and competitive product portfolio, as well as to improve sales efficiency and profitability. Special attention is given to the role of a well-thought-out assortment policy in creating sustainable competitive advantages and adapting the company to rapidly changing market conditions. The results obtained can be used to formulate growth strategies for the company and improve management efficiency.
