Use of barium (barite) in circular economy in the context of waste-free production

The circular economy, to which many countries are now moving, implies non-waste production, in which all raw materials and waste are converted into finished products. Such attention is given to this economic model due to the significant depletion of certain resources, including barium. In the article, the author analyzed the physical and chemical properties of the metal, its status as a critical raw material, the scope of application, its significance and influence on nature and man. This study can serve as a basis for further analysis of the effective use of barium and its wastes in non-waste production.
