Bioabsorbable screws as a new facility for calcaneal fractures treatment

Bioabsorbable cannulated screws were used for treatment of different types of calcaneal bone fractures. These screws were used for articular surface restoration, restoration of angles, axial alignment and subtalar arthrodesis. Applying of bioabsorbable screws allowed to achieve a stable fixation of fragments, that provided standard postoperative care with early patient activisation. There were no complications. So, in respect that was no need for implants removal, and there were no obstacles for X-ray and MRI, application of that implants provides calcaneal bone fractures treatment optimization.
