The article presents an analysis of modern methods of remote sensing to obtain information on the status of agricultural land. It is known that the problem can be solved most efficiently with the use of small aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles. The paper discusses the configuration options available aircrafts with modern multispectral and hyperspectral cameras. The most affordable aircraft recognized ultralight aircraft Aeroprakt A-22 unmanned aerial vehicles "ELF PP-45", "DJI Phantom 2" and "3 БЛ Phantom Professional 2.4G". Analysis of the survey camera is made only on the weight and dimensions. For a more careful selection of cameras with regard to their characteristics, it is necessary to attract interested specialists in various fields of agriculture. In conclusion, it noted the need for complex multi-disciplinary research for the introduction of elements of precision farming in the conditions of the Omsk region.
