Photodynamic therapy in combination treatment and rehabilitation of patients with acute deep vein thrombosis of lower limbs

The paper describes the impact of photodynamic therapy (PDT) on the dynamics of reparative processes in the altered vessel wall. It is identified that the use of photodynamic therapy in combination treatment of acute venous thrombosis of lower limbs can be considered as a promising direction that reduces venous thromboembolic complications and reduces the degree of chronic venous insufficiency and disability of patients, reduces the recanalizationtime ofthe veinthrombosed area and speeds up rehabilitation. That is significantly improves the patients’ quality of life.
