Use of sodium hydroxide to deceleration the gel formation of composition based on sodium silicate

In this article, some of the compositions used for waterproofing work in the development of oil fields and their shortcomings are considered. The article presents the results of laboratory studies and methods for conducting experiments on the selection of optimal compositions for waterproofing works in the reservoir. It is noted that the use of sodium hydroxide is more effective and cheaper than the use of the existing analogue.
